A ghostly clawed hand suddenly emerges from a flurry of leaves, grasping for the viewer.

Wraith Glade

The Intersection of Creativity, Nature, and the Mind

🌐 This site has moved to a new web host!

For a combination of technical and philosophical reasons, this website has migrated away from Neocities and is now hosted on a full-featured general-purpose web host instead. The domain name used to access the site is still the same as before though (WraithGlade.com).

I will likely still drop by the Neocities community from time to time to see what people are up to and to explore the wonderful creations that many people on here have shared with everyone! Nonetheless, it is likely that my activity levels on Neocities itself will decrease by quite a bit, and so I will miss the sense of community. It's been cool y'all! 🏞🤗

Unfortunately, I need my site to have a lot more technical features than Neocities (by its admittedly intentionally extremely limited design) provides. For example, I plan to open up my own traditional forum for game dev that forbids all AI content and acts as as safe haven of sorts (among other positive qualities) and I cannot do that here on Neocities.

I also need server-side web analytics and Neocities' global view counter (which doesn't even tell you how many views each page got) is far too inadequate for any kind of actual practical decision making for web design and understanding what's going on. 📉📈🧮

My intent to make an actual living (at least in part, but hopefully in whole) online also has put pressure on me that has more or less forced me to move despite my desire to continue being a part of the community here. I have to have more tools to do that! 🔧🔍

There is also of course the fact that the creator of Neocities has expressed derision and dismissiveness to all anti-AI proponents, which (if you've read my site) of course would include me by implication. So then, owing to the moral imperative to genuinely respect all artists as people and to honor their fundamental human rights and creative boundaries, my discovery of Neocities' creator's attitude thus was the "final straw" that cemented my decision to stop being a paid supporter of Neocities. 🚧🧠🚧

That decision was made on and noted in my log. 📚📑

And so, with a heavy heart but with hope for the future, I now depart Neocities. 👋🌆🌠

Come say hi to me on the new site! The long-term future seems bright! 😁

Fresh new changes are on the horizon! 🌞😎

PS: There may be some minor glitches and turbulence during the early days of my time on the new host, so heads up on that if you encounter any glitches and please contact me if you find any! Thanks! This is all normal of course, since now I have to manage details Neocities previously managed, and so there is bound to be a bit of temporary friction.

If you are having problems with links leading to "page not found" (error 404) pages then try clearing your browser cache and history for WraithGlade.com completely. This can be done in Firefox by the following sequence: (1) click the "History" menu in the top/window bar, (2) click "Show All History" within that window, (3) find a history entry for WraithGlade.com, (4) right click on the entry, (5) click "Forget About This Page...", (6) confirm the erasure of all cache and history related to this website. After finishing doing that the website should now load pages normally. Users who have browsed my website before may have conflicting cached history items, which is why this process may be necessary to fix it.
